Calendar and events

See events, task due dates and project due dates on one month grid, and schedule one-off or repeating events.

Calendar shows your month at a glance. It brings together three kinds of entry, each with its own colour (the key at the top says which is which):

EntryAppears on
EventsThe days they run. A multi-day event stretches across its days as one bar.
TasksTheir due date.
ProjectsTheir due date.

The Calendar

Select any entry to open it: a task or project opens in its detail pane, and an event opens its event dialog. When a day has more entries than fit, it shows a +n chip. Select it to see the whole day's list.

Create an event

Start a new event

Select New Event.

Describe it

Enter a title (required) and an optional description.

Set when it happens

Choose a Start Date and End Date. Add a Start Time and End Time, or leave them empty for an all-day event.

Make it repeat (optional)

Under Repeats, choose Every and an interval, such as 1 week or 2 months. Set Until to stop repeating on a date, or leave it empty to keep going.

Save

Select Save Event.

Change or delete a repeating event

When you save or delete an event that's part of a series, Task Arrow asks how far the change should go:

  • This event: only the one you opened
  • This and following events: this one and every later one
  • All events in the series: every occurrence, past and future

Note

Calendar events are separate from task and project dates. Moving a task's due date moves it on the calendar, but you can't drag tasks around on the calendar itself.
