Add tasks to a project

There are two ways:

  • From the project: open it, go to the Tasks tab and select Create Sub Task. The task is created inside the project.
  • From the task: open any top-level task and choose the project in its Project field.

A task's subtasks are always in the same project as the task. Once a task is in a project, the Project field is locked. See Subtasks.

Tip

Project tasks don't appear in the Tasks section's default view, which shows standalone tasks. To see them there, filter Project to the project you want.

Keep it up to date

  • Change the project's Status as it moves along, from the detail pane or by right-clicking its row in the grid.
  • Check Completion in the grid to see how many of its tasks are done.
  • The History tab records every change to the project.

Delete a project

Open the project and select Delete Project.

Tasks are deleted too

Deleting a project also deletes all of its tasks and their subtasks. This can't be undone. To keep the tasks, move them out of the project first.
