Work in a subscriber's workspace

ProviderPro plan

Enter a subscriber's workspace to view or work on the records your service put there.

When a subscriber grants View only or Can edit, a member of your service's team can enter their workspace. You use the normal Task Arrow app, but inside their workspace and limited to the records that belong to your service.

Enter

Open the service

Go to Service Hub › Provided Services and open the service.

Find the subscriber

On the Subscribers tab, find the subscriber.

Enter

Select Enter workspace (or Enter (view only)).

An orange banner appears across the top of the app, for example:

Viewing Client Co with edit access through the Bookkeeping service · Anything you change here lands in their workspace.

The banner can't be dismissed while you're in someone else's workspace.

What you can see and do

  • Tasks, Projects, Lists, Custom Forms and Calendar show only records that belong to your service.
  • With Can edit, you can edit, comment on and complete those records, add subtasks, and create new records within the service.
  • With View only, you can open and read them, but not change them.
  • Workflows, Service Hub and the Standard/Templates view selector are hidden. Settings can't be changed.
  • Your changes appear in the subscriber's history under your organisation's name, and they trigger the subscriber's workflows as if their own team made them.
  • @mentions reach the subscriber's people, and the assignee picker offers their members plus your organisation.

Exit

Select Exit workspace in the banner to go back to your own workspace.

The session belongs to the browser tab. Other tabs stay in your own workspace, and closing the tab ends the session. Sessions also end on their own after 8 hours.

If access ends while you're in

You're taken back to your own workspace on your next click, with a notice, if:

  • the subscriber changes access to No access or unsubscribes
  • you're taken off the service's team
  • the service is deleted
  • your workspace leaves the Pro plan

Note

The notice doesn't say which of these happened. That's deliberate: it's the subscriber's business.
